The Kuss Filtration Warranty
If you are dissatisfied with the performance of any Kuss Filtration service product, we will gladly replace the product free of charge under our Limited Warranty.
General Warranty: It is the constant endeavor of Kuss Filtration Inc. to give our customers the highest quality products obtainable. Kuss Filtration warrants our service products to be free from defects in both material and workmanship, provided that the product is properly installed, subjected to normal use and service and that the product is not modified or changed in any way, nor damaged because of negligence by customer or installer or used for racing or competition purposes. Any filter proven defective during the engine or equipment manufacturer’s recommended service intervals will be replaced at no charge.
In the unlikely event of an engine or equipment failure directly caused by a defective Kuss Filtration filter, which was properly installed and changed following the engine or equipment manufacturer’s recommended service internals, Kuss Filtration will reimburse reasonable costs to repair or replace, whichever is less, the damaged engine or components.
Claims for engine or equipment repair or replacement under this warranty must be submitted within 30 days after discovery of damage. The filter must be returned, in its original, undamaged condition to Kuss Filtration for examination. Kuss Filtration reserves the right to examine the engine or equipment to determine the amount of damage and whether it was caused by a defective Kuss Filtration filter.
Engine and equipment manufacturer’s warranties remain in effect when Kuss Filtration filters are used properly. Equipment warranties should not be voided solely due to the use of Kuss Filtration products.
Duration: This Warranty extends from the date of installation of the Kuss Filtration product through the duration of the OEM-recommended or Kuss Filtration warranty coverage period for the product, whichever is longer.
Warranty Coverage Period: Kuss Filtration warranties general service items for 3 months from purchase date and air housings for 1 year from purchase date. Dry-Type Air Filters are NOT warrantied if they have been cleaned or serviced in any manner.
When the Original Engine Equipment Manufacturer approves ES (Extended Service) change intervals over their normal change intervals, ES (Extended service) filters are required for Kuss Filtration warranty coverage.
Limitations: Kuss Filtration is not responsible for reduced service life or failure resulting from unintended applications, misuse, faulty installation, alteration, neglect, accident, or conditions resulting from actions outside Kuss Filtration’s control, including but not limited to contaminated fluid conditions. Kuss Filtration is not responsible for downtime, loss of income, living expenses, or other incidental or consequential damages. This Limited Warranty is the sole warranty made by Kuss Filtration in regard to these filters.
KUSS FILTRATION MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
If you suspect a Kuss Filtration filter has caused progressive damage to your equipment, please contact our Warranty Department, Kuss Filtration, P.O. Box 0708, Findlay, OH 45840-0708. Please ensure that the suspect filter is kept intact and not cut, opened or damaged in any way. Providing the filter in an ”as used” condition will improve the ability to find the root cause of the problem.
